Help identify my Briggs

#1
I am trying to identify my Briggs and Stratton engine. I have the numbers and I tried to decode it but I am missing something.

Model number- 81302 Type- 943546 Serial number- 5909090

The way I read this is 8 Cubic inch
1 basic design
3 Horizontal engine
0 Plain bearing/DU Non- flange mount
2 Rewind Starter

Type 943546 ?

Serial number 59 Year?
09 Month
09 Day
0 assembly line and manufacturing plant

I just pulled the information online on how to identify a Briggs and Stratton engine. But it doesn't look right so I thought I would ask the experts. Thanks!

I'd say you have it right, but sometimes the fan shroud/recoil has been changed. A picture might help spot something out of place. That should be a 3hp briggs with the small flojet carb.

did you check it to see if it has a steel cylinder ? that looks like an old toro power handle engine. They are great engines and will run forever. I have at least a dozen of them, and one with the rare electric start too
