help with comet 20 series

HI guys, i have a comet 20 series which i need a new belt for. When i look at chart for determining right one, the shortest distance for center of driven to center of drive belt they have is 6 15/16-7 inches. Mine is 6 3/4 apart center to center. what should i do? thanks

I think I would do some grinding on your motor plates slots they need to be the right measurement for you to achieve the proper fit and when it comes to Comet belts SIZE DOES MATTER :thumbsup: LOL Steve

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing.

I just ordered some belts and went through all that, one of them was slightly too short. :censure::censure::censure:

Well if you can't go forward then can you go up ? If the frame down legs are hitting the front of the engine if you raise the engine this would allow you to gain the required distance. We may need pictures to see what you are up against. Steve
