honda gc160 throttle set up

has anyone ever used this engine on a mini bike if so how do you set up the throttle linkage on the gc160. also do they make something to replace the high flow air filter like on the clones.

If you want a clone, get a clone. $99 this month at HF with coupon....

The GC is easy to set up and has been done many times here.

Honda makes a throttle kit just for this purpose. There was a thread and photos about it posted by OldMiniBikes member rmm727 (Ryan) a year or two ago.

As another member figured out (forgot who or I would give you credit) you can use a clone air filter adapter on there but you need to make a notch or drill a hole for the bowl drain on the GC's carb. Its in a different location than a GX's carb.

Thanks again for that Stangrcr. :thumbsup: I'm glad I was able to get it working. That GC190 has been one of my favorite "stock" engines.
