man....my neighbor had 2 (one was for parts ect)of those boy did we have fun with em....always fixing them though.,....seemed like every week it was something else wrong with it....

About 45 to 50 max. Even with sled swaps the reduction unit gearing only lets you go so fast. Comet makes a 7" clutch that will get you to 75mph. This clutch is for the racing ones with rear suspension though. I cannot see going 75 with no suspsension. 45 is pushing it.

CDI conversion
New carb
New wire harness
Newer plastics
New decals
New tires
Rack
New cabels
New brakes
New belt
New seat covers
New head light
Added tail light from 83 fl250.

Do not know the history of the Engine. It was tight with no end play. Has 148lbs compression and starts right up. Piston and walls look nice and shinny.

Also have other restored fl250's. Will trade both or all three for FL350 or FL350 project.
