HS-40 Repairs "Bucks County PA"

Anybody out there around Bucks County PA that works on these engines. This motor is starting to :censure: me off. Thanks:hammer:

Hard to start and if I get it started won't idle...New carb, all new gaskets, new plug, nice blue spark, good compression. I do think its that govenor. ut:

hmm.did you replcae the coil and sand the flywheel down? and maybe it isnt getting enought fuel. or it has bad internals or somthin

Thats next...Fly wheel coming off...Somebody told me it may be rusty inside. I'v had this mini bike in my garage for over 30 years. Thanks

Is the "new" carb set up properly? If it has good spark, why remove the flywheel? Do a search for the factory carb adjustments and start there.

Yeah, if the spark is as good as you indicate, I'd be looking at the carb & settings.

Maybe the timing isn't right......bout .035-.040 BTDC
