jackshaft install

I have searched and found a lot of threads about 100.00 jack plates and bolt on jackshafts but I don't see any mention of the lower priced jackshaft kits available. Did anyone ever buy a 50 dollar kit and install it on a DB or an MB?? Pictures????? How did you install?? welded end caps? Pillow blocks????? then, custom safety guard or home made????? I see a lot of you guys run with no cover on your clutches, well that's your business, but any kids of mine ain't getting on one without a guard. So any examples of material used, or low budget purchasing???? Thanks in advance......and always....ride safe red423

Go to BMI Kart&Supplies website and checkout their item 400825. I installed one on my Zooma HawgTy similiar to a Baja Heat/Warrior with little problems and felt it was worth every penny.

I bought the pro mod jackshaft set up from hotrodminibike. com It fit well and makes gear changes easier. I run one on the 212cc and the 97cc

I put the one OldMiniBikes sells on this streaker and I am installing one on a project right now.If you have a bike with wheel alignment problems they are a big help.The ones I install are welded in place.

:laugh:Yeah that one we put on there right after switching the Tecumseh carb for the slide carb on it now.We have since put a cone K&N style filter on it.BB Tecumseh engines respond real well to the slide carbs by the way.:thumbsup:

Sweet mini! The bobbed rear fender is my favorite thingie. Cool idea.
