Just a little project... Board Track Racer Replica

#1
Here is the start of yet another idea blowing through my head. ..

I want to build a Board Track Racer and I'm going to use this Briggs Flathead. Here is the start of some motor work. As I build, I will post what I've done, hope it turns out well View attachment 60413 View attachment 60414

Nice job on the eyebrows. I was thinking of building one in the future. Was looking at a workman bike but the dam things are very expensive.

Nice work

Fellow boardtracker here, try not to go wild with the power unless you're bending tube & building your own frame from scratch. If you're bending a downtube for a regular bicycle frame, you're already pushing the limits of both the original frame, and the thinly spoked bicycle wheels to begin with.

A stock 5hp flattie should be way more than enough to go fast & have fun with, and again, is likely at the very limit for a bicycle frame.

Also, be prepared to weld in gussets pretty much everywhere. Otherwise, have fun. They are the most fun I've ever had on two wheels (and legal in CT as a moped!).
