This links to the contemporary L-Head (Flathead) service manual. You can download it from here (all 300+ pages).

Hi,

Since the original post is like 6 yrs old the link to manual don't work anymore. Is there somewhere else I can download the B&S L-Flathead manual.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing. We share manuals all the time on a few technical forums I belong to. Members helping members.
No problem. Like you said the original link in post #1 no longer worked and it's better to have it on the site as a download. I think the old forum software, whatever it was, did not facilitate actual data storage here but I am not sure.

Would be great if there was a place on this forum where members could download and archive manuals, etc to share. Maybe there is and I don't know about it?
I have a lot of manuals & material for Tecumseh engines, Fox spoke wheel bikes like the Trail Tramp, Trail FX, Condor, Street Scamp. Also my favorite bikes Heathkit Boonie & Hilltopper.

You could do it, or get the ball rolling. Start a thread in the appropriate subforum (Strictly US Vintage, Engines, etc) and post what you have then have a moderator pin it to the top for easy reach. I think the Media section is ideal but it just has user photos and a brochures/sales literature section.

Edited to add: the Resources category is totally empty. Maybe that's the place for manuals? https://oldminibikes.com/forum/index.php?resources/

If all your manuals are in print then the daunting task is ahead of you to scan each page including the front and back pages and convert it to a single PDF. I'd concentrate on owner's manuals as they have a relatively small number of pages.

I have a lot already saved as PDF's.

As my member name suggests I'm in the copier business and all copiers are scanners so no problem with scanning hard copies making them PDF
's.
