It has come to my attention you are bad mouthing a friend of mine and an upstanding member of this forum over a few dollars. Very few. Based on what was presented by means of communications between you two, it is my determination you have issues. To report someone to Paypal over a couple of dollars is ridiculous considering it is someone you deal with on a forum such as this. It was obviously not an attempt to screw you over on a 40 year old piece of metal rod that was used. If you find a brake lever that has been used to stop by putting your weight on that is still perfectly straight then it was never used. I can only conclude that you need the money so bad you are willing to ruin your already questionable reputation on this forum. So how much do you need? What does it take? I'm sure there are other members willing to pitch in.

And since you had to use your buddies Paypal for whatever reason. If your buddy did this without your knowledge then beat him. But your still sketchy in the eyes of the members of this forum.

"no good deed goes unpunished"

Rob, where you at? Lets hear what you have to say...we only have half a story here! ...and get your own PayPal account! It's easy! :001_rolleyes:

how do you block someone again?
Ok. So you go to the member list. Clck on their name. On the left side you can add them to ignore list. Done. So I imagine I won't see his responses. So if he responds just let me know how much and who to send the money to.

Oh boy...we haven't had one of these in awhile. Before we burn him at the stake....let's hear his side of the story....if he responds.

As I said shady on many counts. I'm not gonna post some of the past issues, but I'll contribute to the be gone fund....

Posting threads like this , and the resulting replies, serve no useful/productive purpose, and only further degrade the overall forum professionalism, ettiquette, courtesy and respect. Are some of you so desperate for drama that you must post and contribute to these type of threads? Settle and discuss these disputes and disagreements privately. And you wonder WHY we continue to lose out valued veteran and founding members....

Michael, many people here, like myself, have created great friendships to the point where a lot of us consider this site and its members as family. I don't know about you, but I will always fiercely defend my family. The relationships I have made here will last a lifetime. Although I do understand why some members have left, I am still in touch with many of them and cherish the relationships created through a simple thing...minibikes!

I don't wonder why? In fact half say they are leaving for attention and end up coming back... But this forum has grown to be more than what it was when you joined. And you may not like it but it has. You don't have to read the thread if you don't want. But if it saves the next person from doing a deal they won't be happy with because of how this person is then it is a useful thread. Maybe not presented in the format you would like but I didn't see a form to fill out to convey what needed to be said.

I agree, never had any dealings with Harley's papa but it,s obvious he is an honest guy being abused by a badguy. Pay off the loser and take it as lesson learned. I really feel bad for HP he actually cares more than than he should. We need members of this quality I also respect Michaels call for decorum. But I think this is the best way to go.

As a long time forums owner, moderator, and user sometimes problems need to be called out. While the exact details might need to be behind closed doors problem members need to be made known so maybe it can save somebody else the headache later on. Most all the automotive forums I'm on have good seller/ bad seller threads for that reason. You don't go on ebay and look for sellers with poor ratings. Sometimes a good public shaming is enough to make somebody that is untrustworthy come around and try to do right.

sometimes people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...
how often we have heard that growing up?

heres 3 stories, all true, and ill leave the members of this forum to decide what really happened.

i first met randy/aka gumpit,at windber 2014.
he rushed up as we started setting up and offered a rather low price for our bonanza.
we politely declined, and he raised his offer 5 bucks..we again declined.
later on,i met randy again over near his campsite and he said he could help me out with my heathkit,i needed a rear wheel.
he led me over to another guy, unknown, and together they sold me this rim setup for like 70 bucks...
when i returned home, rather excited that i had gotten what i needed,
i discovered the wheel was actually so wide it could Never have fit my bike..
and he knew this and so did the unknown guy when he sold it to me.
i then tried to sell this rim to a fella here on the forum, and was told i was asking twice what the wheel was worth...
you can imagine my feelings.
this wheel hangs on my wall,to remind me that just because someones popular, doesnt mean he wont do something dirty.

now we have this other randy guy/aka harleyspapa, which btw a Lot of people have said, hes a standup guy.
well,he sold me some parts that are so bent they cannot be used.
when i first contacted him,i was told that i was a liar, and He would take this to the forum,
which i suppose his buttbuddy attacking me is,
apparently he can pm gumpit and start a buncha bs but not pay me back like he promised, nor can he start His Own topic.
this right here shows a lot about his character, imo.

after i sent him Pics of the damaged parts,he said " i didnt see that when i removed it from the bike."
now, everyone else that has seen these pics has been taken aback, because it is Clearly visible damage.
he then offers me a partial refund, which i accepted, and then i also said ill let the feedback slide.
just call it a wash.....because he Had helped me before on a diff advice question...and i didnt want him to get a neg.
a week goes by,i ask wheres the loot?
he replies with some nonsense, and then promises me again to repay me.
i wait...past last weekend....and i wait,i get Nothing,not a thin dime.
and finally yesterday,i filed with paypal for the Full amount now,
because he doesnt seem to care at all about doing the right thing.

details,
the back rod, which is the thinnest part was Slightly bent and he described this to me when purchased.
i had no problem with that at all!
he did Not tell me that the thickest strongest part of the foot lever was bent Sideways almost Into the Frame itself,
when its Supposed to be Angled Out towards the foot peg.
again,he says he did not see the damaged piece when He Removed it from his bike...i call BS.

i let a lot of things slide..for example,i never called gumpit out for his deception and fraud at windber,
altho i certainly could have, but the drama is useless and we all know he wouldnt make it right.
and as far as buying me out/off minibikes, get real.
at what point have i EVER been greedy or moneyhungry??
i dont sell my stuff on ebay,i list it Here so it will Help out Members.
ive sold around 40 items on this site, and yet i barely have 20 feedback,
mainly because some of the regs dont bother to even pm when they get their stuff, much less leave feedback.
so please dont try to tar and feather me,when basically im doing what i can, being an inexperienced noob in this minibike passion.
instead, some of you should step away from your drama seeking and maybe post some replies to the members needing Help, and Advice.
that really is my only complaint about this website...too much click/crew/drama bs and not enough actual minibiking Love.

last but not least,minikenny.
this guy,his post did hurt me a little.
i actually respect kenny immensely, hes given me help before and i am shocked at what he said.
heres the details...kenny bought a motor off me for a set price, including shipping.
i could not make this shipping cost happen,no matter how far and wide i looked.
i ended up giving kenny his money back, after he said that he didnt want to spend any more on shipping than he already had.
and so we are clear,i Immediately refunded him as soon as we reached that point.
we both seemed to be in agreement that if i couldnt make the shipping happen at his predetermined price, then he didnt want it.
so,im very shocked that i see this kind of remark from him when i did what i thought was the right thing and handled it immediately as well.

closing thoughts..
my paypal account is obviously none of anyones business, period.

again,to the whole running you out of minibikes nonsense, ill say this.
last week,i delivered my first ever official build/sale.
i went a 100 over budget, didnt ask them for a thin dime over the og price.
went thru this bike front to back everything new or refurbed, with custom paint, mags, way over the top.
spent 40 mins at the grandparents house with the parents and kiddo watching her ride.
that was one of the Best days ever since we started messing with the minis,
and makes all this nonsense and drama bearable, barely, but, you guys who actually help Random people know what i mean.
so you >> Other guys keep ripping off newbs and helping only your buttbuddies, and making stupid topics like this one.
and the Rest of us will keep helping Everyone and not ripping newbs off.
thats how i feel about this.

i will say Thank You to the various members who didnt buy right into the " story " gumpit posted,
just because hes a reg and a member of the click.
theres always 2 sides to a story, and now you know my side.
please note i didnt ask anyone to post on my behalf either, ill stand on my own 2 feet,
even tho ive discussed this with them, and they Agree with me,im not draggin anyone else in.
ive also met a coupla the forum members irl,and did my best to help them as well.
never had a complaint.
yes,im a cranky old geezer at times, but im also kind hearted and what makes my day is to see someone smile.
cheers,Rob

" i didnt see any damage when i removed the part "

i leave it to you forum members to answer for yourselves if you can see the damage.
please keep in mind that i have Removed the peg Bar itself,
which the brake arm hits Right away, again showing how badly its bent.

Let's talk about not meeting shipping? I recall you threatening like a baby when you paid for an engine and the seller couldn't meet the shipping and refunded you immediately. You wanted people banned and blah blah. I'm sure I can dig up the PMs. Now the shoes on the other foot but it's ok? Nope. You can lose $100 on a "build" but can't make the shipping YOU agreed to happen?
I will gladly buy those parts from Randy and give them to Brian who would be grateful to have something to work with.
The guy offers you a partial
refund and your reply reads as "let it lie". If you meant "yes I'll accept that" no English speaking person interprets that from your reply. Say what you mean.
This is a family. You got called out because you are wrong. If Randy was in the wrong, I would have no issue with telling him so. He clearly tried to make things right. You could have replied and said "I'm sorry but I feel a full refund is in order." He would have done it.
Calling these people names makes you look even more stupid than you already have. They have done more here than you ever will.

thanks for your opinion.:eek:ut:
just shows how clearly some of you value your friendships with others more than doing the right thing.
in case you missed the whole point,i got ripped off,was promised a refund, and got nothing.
making up or trying to throw more fuel on the fire is never going to change those Facts.
so your sentence there about him making things right is Wrong.

as far as your slander about shipping, heres another story.
the past few sales,i went by what the buyers thought was right,ie offer included shipping.
that Includes Kennys motor/as he Set the price and shipping <.
i lost almost double on those shipments, and i even discussed this shipping for cheap dilemma With Kenny!
he couldnt figure it out either!
thats< why he didnt get the motor,so dont go trying to slander me or twist this into something it never was.

so,No,im Not going to spend a Penny more than it actually costs to get stuff shipped anymore.
im done giving away stuff for free on this forum.
and i dont care if you like that or not.

and you didnt like me calling this whole topic stupid?
too bad, next time keep your 2 cents out of stuff you know half the story on.
this IS a stupid topic, the guy screws me over, then threatens me,then offers me my money partially back, then cant even do that.
and then his buttbuddy jumps right in,with this topic, and for what?
all this guy had to do was Man Up.
so i say again.
screw your drama bs,and try being more helpful to others.
