Homemade springer build underway.

5.5 hp 171cc Yamaha clone engine
Custom clutch cover/ chain guard made from a valve cover
Custom 2 stage exhaust
Custom intake
Mountain bike handlebars

Got the bike as a roller. Engine was hammered and forks were snapped.
I just started keeping photos of progress so here's what I have so far.

Thanks, thats just a mock up of the forks. Going to make 3 more swivel brackets and use square down tubes. Just nees 2 matching shocks to determine how long they need to be.

I think you should just get another shock and rat rod it

I just mean two shocks with about the same spring rate. I'd prefer it if they were different colors.

Found another shock at a used bike shop. Had 2 matching springs already.

Progress has been slow but not in a bad way. I know this isn't really the right place for this but here is another project that was given to me for free. It's a cateye super pocket bike. Pretty much what you see is what was given to me. I still need to find an engine and transmission. Due to the bike having the chain drive and a free wheel on the right side of the bike, the engine spins the wrong way. These bike came with a reverse gear box so the wheel goes foward.

I like that Idea. Never seen the jackshaft directly underneath the engine.
