New engine smoking

I put this new ic engine in the gote, and I noticed a bit of white smoke.
The rings should be fine it's only got about 45 minutes run time on the engine.
I'm wondering if it could be sucking oil through the breather tube?

The gov is out so it's probably turning a bit more than 3600 rpms

did you put too much oil in it? if so then that is your problem...otherwise its almost impossible for the engine to suck oil through the breather tube..

generally white smoke is water (steam), is there any chance that the gas has some water in it??

Does the exhaust smell like oil?? oily residue on the end of the exhaust?
If so and it's just a little bit of smoke it could be normal break-in seepage (rings not sealed yet), if it's a lot then maybe there is a broken ring....

not to much smoke, The oil is a little above the full mark. I'll take some out and see what happens
