My brother and I got a new Cat 400X for Christmas in 1969. We enjoyed riding it around west Texas dirt roads for a couple of months before my dad's Army career took us to Germany for 3 years. The Cat got left with some cousins who trashed it before we got back and it didn't make the next move back out to the southwest. Time and my own military career kept me from getting around to restoring the Cat. I found it recently in a shed where it had not seen the light of day in over 35 years. I drug it out, dismantled it and shipped it to my home in Las Vegas where I retired from the USAF a few years ago. The restoration will take some time but I will post pictures of the process and probably come ask for help before it's all done.
