Does anyone know the actual color names for the vintage bikes? Taco Purple or Bonanza blue just doesn't work when ordering powder. Is there a chart or listing? Thanks

The Bonanzas are 66-67 GM Nassau Blue I believe. I'm sure there are variations though.

I just found the Taco Purple by accident. It is from Steenstacominibikes.com it is actual: metallic royal purple....

I have seen a list of powders that are close to the factory paint colors and I will look to see if I copied it .:thumbsup:

John Steen was using metallic purple well before Dodge's Plum Crazy. Plum Crazy (Plymouth called the same color In-Violet) was previously offered for only 2 years...1970 and 1971. Dodge brought the color back as an option on the new Challenger and Charger.

From what I remember, I don't think it's an exact match with Taco's purple, either.

The Tacos I have seen were not Plum Crazy, but maybe at one time they were. The Metallic Royal Purple is the closest to what I have seen. Thanks for everyone's help....
