He said to a friend he wouldn't go back to jail so he missed court and the bondsman sent a bounty hunter to take him in. He was said to have opened fire on the bounty hunter hitting him, the man returned fire killing the edgy Outlaw Country Music star. He had performed with Country music royalty and made seven albums. Not really my style of music but my favorite style of country music for sure. In my opinion the man should have faced the charges and accepted the consequences, I always have regardless of the severity of my punishment but some people do not do well in jail. Jail sucks for sure but it's survivable, bullets often are not.
