Pit bike forks for DB30

#4
What I gathered from his thread (you can look for it in the archives) he used bushings to mate it to the fork tube. It's a long way from a bolt on deal but seems like a good modification to do. I made some old school sprung forks but it don't ride like one with pitbike forks would, you should research the thread and see how he did it. I'll look but I'm not so good at navigating.

Shoe is missed a bunch, I didn't know him but enjoyed his threads and posts. Everyone was better for knowing him I'm sure!

"possible new project " is the name of the thread where Shoe mentioned he had to bush the forks to get em to fit. Hope that helps, it was all I could find.

Supernova, thanks for the heads up on the thread of shoe's front end change. It's very useful.

Here is the thread for those that haven't seen it.

I am really impressed with this modification!! By looking at the pics, anybody out there have any idea what this "Chinese" donor pit bike was?
It appears to me, to be a Yamaha PW80 clone fork. I have the same set of forks I got for $20 at a show, and I plan on making a new triple-tree, and installing it on my Ken-Bar MB-6 minibike. Hopefully this summer, depends on if my back will let me... The wheel and tire on my MB-6 is much wider, so that's why I have to make a new triple-tree for it. I already have the stock, just have to cut it out, machine it, weld it, and bolt it on.

Just like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRON...884900QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
