qeustions about making mini bike frame longer

should i weld a couple metal brace on the frame before cutting and welding on the frame to help keep it straight?

What frame is it, adnd where are you stretching it at? I think that really determines whether you have to frame it or not.

Some would argue, but I wouldn't be too awful concerned about it. I stretched my warrior for a V-twin and my buddy Kenny stretched his DB30 enough to make a dragbike w/ 2 6.5 clones.... Neither of us did any bracing before cutting and both bikes went back together just fine.... And these are cheap ass Chinese bikes w/cheap ass tubing I'm talking about.

it will be stretched in the middle of the frame for a longer wheel base and more room for the honda clone.

yea i wouldnt worry about it. it might boing a bit out of shape when you cut it apart but it wont make any difference when its all done. most of these bikes are off a bit here and there from the factory.
