can any of you doodlebug owners give me a frame measurement of the width between the fork tubes and rear frame tubes. iv got an idea of a bike i want to build and i want to figure if i should start doodlebug or start from scratch. thanks in advance.
Old style DB30 (LUAN serial no.) width between front forks: 7 1/4 in. and width between rear tubes is just a guess at 9 in. to maybe 9 1/4 in. Hope this helps.
Sure does help. Most older style bikes are only 6 inches between the tubes. I bought some large 6.5 wide street tires and I want to build a street bike and if I can fit the tires without modding the width of the frame I'm ahead of the game.
