Road Trip......Sights and sounds of the UP

#1
Headed out in the "Space Van" for a 700 mile trip.

First stop was mackinac island

Very cool place.only motorized vehicles allowed are a couple emergency vehicles and snowmobiles in the winter.all summer is horse and carriages and bicycles. The grand hotel has the longest covered porch in the country.Took a boat out to it and then a horse and buggy tour, walked the rest of the time.downtown is mostly a tourist trap.

one of the largest in the country.didn't stay on Saturday for the main show, but watched a good 2 hr parade made up mostly of Detroit's finest rides made.every parking lot was full of sweet rides.pics are just asmall taste of everything there

ROAD TRIP 2016

Took off for a week of camping last week.
First stop was "BAY FURNACE" national campground in Christmas.
Nice campground on Superior with the remains of a steel smelting furnace
