Savage Arrives... Video

The Savage just arrived from Wisconsin. I had zero hopes of it running as I received it, and no intentions of trying to see if it might start. I was going to get right to the restoration. Then I smartened up, threw a plug in it, added some oil, hooked up a temporary fuel tank, looked up the carb. settings, and pulled. Here are the results... Thanks Bryon, I'll be selling the REO engine and installing a West Bend 580. It should go forward pretty good after that :laugh:

Just for the record, the Reo engine has a pto shaft that runs counter to the crank...so even though the crank is turning "backwards"....the bike rides forward just fine....:thumbsup:

It's a quirky old setup.....done a long time ago. I love stuff like this, I think I'll just keep it the way it is !

Don't take it too hard Mac, you can't be right all the time...:wink:
