sears roper runabout w/ front suspension

Getting ready to strip the frame and forks for a new paint job.

After my first round of paint stripper. Actually came off real nice with the press

ure washer after about 30 minutes. Does any one know what a Sears runabout original paint color was. Also I got the bike with a old looking 5hp gold briggs and stratton engine, does anyone know what year it might be from.

I just uploaded a picture of what my minibike looked like before I started my work on it.

The first picture is what my $25 purchase looked like and the rest are after stripping and a wire wheel to the frame getting ready to sandblast the forks and wheels tomorrow.

Red frames black wheels, keeping motor gold, Chrome handle bars, red forks, and black number plate.

Motor is finished pics of my wheels and forks coming tonight, frame is the only thing left.

That is looking real good. Are you going to put Briggs decals on it or leave it as it is?
That will look good with the red and black.

I plan on putting stickers on it, just have to find some.

I thought it was a Wren with Roper forks but I see Runabouts in the gallery with the frames that don't ramp down like my Runabout did. Still never seen one with sprung forks, they look like Ropers but then again they dont. I'd like to know the history or a model# on it. I like Birds.

The forks did have a sr (Sears roper) emblem on them.
