Just 0000 steel wool. They did turn out better than I expected.

Looks like maybe only a chain, exhaust, and throttle connection, is all that's keeping you from taking a 'pillow as a seat' test ride.

That exhaust took me about 4 hours of trial and error

I ordered a seat cover with snaps. They sent one without snaps. They replaced the cover without snaps no problem…even let me just keep the first one. Only problem is that the new one doesn’t have any snaps either.

Thanks for the kind words, but compared to the pros around here I'm definitely a "low budget amateur" try to use up the junk I got laying around here. The engine hasn't been run since I put the billet rod in last fall, but it's got oil, a new plug, and the throttles hooked up, when I get a tank on I think it's ready to run.
