Yeah, it's an OK deal if your looking for one. I prefer paying more for new or nos parts just so everything is fresh.

I have no idea what the ratio of coolbore to steelbore blocks was, but demand far exceeds supply for karters. They are more willing to spend the coin on a motor rebuild to get an extra half horsepower.

Well, this is an I/C engine block so it should be sleeved.
I just sold one on ebay for $100.

Guides any good? Bore any good? Is there any cracks? Why is it gutted? Did it break the rod? No clue eh? Seems more like a gamble to me. Those are a dime a dozen around here. I just threw out 3 complete ones and gave away 1 before Christmas.

I've had really good luck with 5hp motors bought on ebay.
On this one, I would request a pic of the cylinder bore and ask what it was taken off of.
