Split Wheels?

Ok, so I popped my first minibike tire. Of course it was with my grandson in my lap and at the farthest point from my house.
Anyhow, my question is do you guys put anything on the wheel or rim when you reassemble? It looks like some silver stuff similar to antiseeze (sp?) was originally on there. Does it need something even with a tube?

If you have steel bolts that thread into aluminum, a little anti seize is a good idea, but not needed anywhere else

Well, that would have been soooo easy,if, ding ding Dale didn't forget the spacer. Cleaned, patched, anti seized, back together, gee what's this "xtra" spacer for? Oh shit! :laugh:

If you have split aluminum rims its a good idea to remove any sharp casting marks or edges to protect the tube...especially at the valve stem!! :thumbsup: My Azusa Astro's needed some attention!!

I dropped an open jar of anti seize on my shop floor last night. What a mess. :doah:
