Sprocket teeth keeps breaking

Can anyone tell me why the teeth on the main drive sprocket keep breaking it is a mtd old mini bike 10 tooth sprocket.jackshaft PLEASE HELP

Engine? Do you mean the teeth on the jackshaft or the clutch?

It sounds like something is binding. It takes quite a bit of pressure to break teeth of.
Have any pictures?

are you replacing both sprockets and putting a good chain on or just one part at a time?

Chain too loose or too tight will do that or not in line. chain wore out? How many teeth on you whole set up? What is your full gearing set up from clutch to rear wheel.
