Strange looking. Could be Taco forks........

Home built, but possibly a Frijole under all that mess. The pics dont help but the forks could be Taco, if they have a piece of spring welded to em that the lowers and springs twist onto. Better pics will help but for now it looks homebuilt with some type fork.

I flew out of the house, jumped in my truck, forgot my camera for more detailed pictures, got out of my truck, went back in the house, grabbed my camera, jumped back in my truck, flew down the freeway, slid into the Pawn Shop parking lot where the minibike was, ran inside the place, looked around,....and couldn't find the mini, so I asked a guy "Do you have a little minibike here that was on Craigslist for $150.00?", he shrugged his shoulders and mumbled something to another clerk and off we went to dig around this place that looked like a Hoarder's Dream come true.

I saw the minibike stashed at the end of an aisle surrounded by BMX bikes, so I ran up the next aisle and tugged on the front fork. "I found it" I shouted(Trying not to show any real emotions), I tipped it to the side and started looking at it to see if it was worth what they were asking for it. After about the longest second I've ever had to endure I asked the clerk if the price was fixed at $150, he said "No, I think the boss will take $100.00 for it.
My next question was " Who do I pay?". I rolled it to the register, the boss said "It runs", I paid him, tossed the mini in my truck, and got out of there before they decided they might want to keep it or eBay it.
Got it home, got out the starting fluid, yanked the rope a dozen times and it fired up belching the prettiest blue cloud of smoke you ever did see.

I'm going to cannibalize it for parts.
Early Taco fork in decent shape, both rims are early Taco,
Here are the pictures of my $100.00 Frijole:
.

....I wonder if this would be considered a "Frankenbike".

I sort of got the forks but so did the OP. I guess I did OK for the photo quality, the tell tale shape and what's left of the seat post were peeking out. Not much left of her but she's partially there. All things considered you got $100 worth, too bad the wheel is busted but you have that early drum on one good wheel and another half. Every bit of a hundred dollar bill right there.

Taco Frijole

Good eye Mac, you are lucky I live so far away. I was told by someone that is a prototype Futuristic Taco Mini Bike from the 1964 New York Worlds Fair.:wink:

Like a Duck on a June Bug! Mac scores SN get the ID. I looked at that mess, saw the forks, saw the way the rear upper frame loop met the lower frame tubes in front of the axle, but I just couldn't see a Frijole! Hey Mac which side of that front wheel is broken? tube valve or non tube valve side? I need a tube valve side half. Are those the said eliminator tires?

Non tube side is the broken side.
When I strip the frame I'll have to look for any other damage.

ARCO tires, same as Eliminator, but no cigar.
Front blown, rear has lots of weather cracks.

Going to be fun cutting all the non-Frijole metal off
the frame to see what's left. Everything's fixable.

I have my Mig welder all warmed up, let me at it! Can i wrench that wheel half away from you?
I think this thread is getting a little off-track.

Here's a few more pictures to show the Frijole beneath:
