Taking apart Bonanza forks help

Probably need to soak them in some PM blaster because most of them get stuck after 40 years. Just undo the bolts on the forks and they should come right out. Good luck with that:laugh:

Hey Ken,
where you took that top bolt out, that is a round plug that holds the top of the spring, and normally that is what is getting hung up. That is the piece you need to get moving. I sprayed PB Blaster through the top of the handlebars and let it set for a couple of days. At that point I used a large punch to try and wiggle it up and down until it moved. Don't booger up your forks doing this! Once I get them moving, a little more Blaster was needed, but after that they pulled right out. It does take some muscle! A little twisting forth and back doesn't hurt anything!
