They used ones like that one some 2 stroke Power products engines. One of my old karts had one on it:


Sorry not good photos, I didn't have the element so there is a bag rubber banded over it but you get the idea (kart was a 1959/60)

I bought a small lot on eBay and there was like 6 in there. Some old choke levers and such. Nice little score for the price.

thats cool, let me know if your gonna sell any and how much or the ebay listing/etc... trying to gather some early look pieces for a 3.5 tec. I just scrounged up a Dec 1962 shroud and numbers for a 1963 bike I have, It would not be the right filter but would give it an old look at least.
