Tec HS40 4 sale..Great runner off a Rupp. Plus free briggs

This came off what I believe to be a roadster. It starts on the second pull with the choke on and 3 twists of the throttle (Everytime) The little bugger idles very smoothe and has quite a bit of power for what it is. Im 225lbs and best guess is over 30 mph next to the wife in her camry in the subdivision.

I pulled the motor last night after buying a new 212 cc chinese deal for 129 plus 20% off. This is my sons mini and he is addicted to speed so I thought the 6.5hp would pull a little harder. My wife and I drag race a little and he wants something fast so im stepping him up bit by bit until we find a 30 or so hp motor that he can take to the track.

It comes with everything you see, including clutch. The engine does not smoke at all and whoever buys it will be well pleased with no surprises.

125.00 plus shipping. PM me here or post if you are interested and I will give you my #

Here are some pics

Here is the free Briggs engine. It runs great also. I have no idea what hp it is or how old it is. I figured someone here would know.

The HS40 came off this:

This is going on for a while.....I know its a sin!:hang:

I would believe it to be a Roadster as well.. With the options on the frame...

It's your bike and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.. You could build the living hell out of an HH70 Tecumseh, and throw a H50 tag on it, and have one HELL of a big block thumping dragster "Sleeper" engine..

Nice Rupp dude... Good buy on the Tec too..

HELL no..

That is one hell of a nice Rupp.. It's just missing a few thousand dollars worth of sheet metal and aluminum.. I was going to mention it, and not even mention the motors really.. The Briggs is probably a 2 or 2.5 horse, with that carb on it..The shroud is wrong, but the number on the head or block will tell ya the cubic inches.. Probably 6..

Thats not an original Rupp Roadster motor...it has bolt holes for the starter provision and a few other block differences. Most likely off a snowblower and someone put the carb and muffler on. Still nice to have...

Would you mind posting a pic of one that is off a roadster. I would like to see the difference.

the Rupp you have is from the 60's. If it's a Roadster, they originally looked like this
they had a white 5hp Tecumseh.
Thats beautiful. May I ask what a nice original example like yours might be worth to avid mini bike people? I know its what someone is willing to pay. But on the norm or actual cash value.......where would most put it and agree?

I might restore mine and get a drag mini instead.

 dude, if I had something that looked that nice, I probly wouldn't even ride it. I would just park it in the garage and like change the gas and clean the carb every day!

You guessed wrong. I dont know what the shipping cost is. If you wanted that info im sure you could do it as well as I could. You didnt say you wanted it. you asked me what shipping was going to be.

What would shipping be to 48317? Thanks. Jim Owen Utica, Mi.

I just put this up for sale yesterday. I dont have shipping prices memorized. Furthermore please do not whore my for sale thread with false information. If someone wants to buy the motor thats great. Im sure if they are serious they will state that they want the ITEM.....not just ask what the shipping cost is.

For a 125.00 item ......it seems like this would be an easy decision. Shipping is what it is. Im the one that has to box it and drive it up there.

OK, I'm sorry but that ^^^^ is totally uncalled for .

You should get to know the people here before bad-mouthing them. The member you are 'calling out' is a good guy and is always around when it comes to people needing help with things he is versed in. Posting people's PMs is not cool.

And if you ask me, when someone asks you what shipping would be, YOU SHOULD HAVE THAT INFO. That's also a good indicator that they are interested in buying the item dude:shrug: They don't know what size box you will ship in, what the weight would be, etc.... All those factors will equate to what an accurate shipping cost will be.

Have you ever shipped an engine or something heavy before??

Sorry, but I've been nice to you in other posts, but you also just joined this forum and so far seem like you have no problem being a dick to other people. So don't expect much differnet treatment in return from the 'regulars' here.

I dont care if you like my post or not, but I can assure you, i'm not the only one that shares this point of view. :hammer:

Consider this thread "whored" as you put it.

The more I read your reply the more irritated it makes me. I hope you can understand that what you posted above is complete shit and we don't play that way here.
