Tecumseh question

Can anyone tell me anything about this engine from this photo ? I am old it is a 10hp but I haven't checked the engine numbers. I know nothing about small engines, would this be usable on a mini bike ?

Looks to have shaft tapped (bolt and thread) and a straight shaft (not tappered) so would be good.
Need to know if it's 3/4 " or 1" shaft??
1" is harder a little hard to work out the driver.

Needs to go on big tire/frame bike, not the little stuff!

Steve, that engine would work just fine on that mini bike. The clutches that fit 1" crankshafts are a little pricey but they are readily available. where are you located in IL?

Yeah man, I think it's a Tecumseh.

EDIT: also it looks like it's been sitting out side, you might check for water in the oil just in case.

Rocco, I'm in Naperville.[/B][/QUOTE]

Steve that Tecumseh engine is either an 8HP or a 10HP, they have gobs of torque and make great engines for mini bikes.
This is an 8HP Tecumseh on my Bonanza, its the same motor you have basically.
