Tecumseh to Harbor Freight, plastic cams

#1
Hi all,
Okay,I have spent the last couple of nights in my freetime working on a Tecumseh 0hh60 only to find that it isnt getting compression. I know, I know, I should have checked that first but the guy i bought it from suckered me and told me it was running fine before he stored it. Anyways, I did everything shy of opening up the case. I removed the valve cover only to find that one of the push rods was missing and has fallen down into the crank case. My plans were to eventually put a predator on it any ways but the plastic camshaft makes me nervous since the one in the ohh60 has broken as well. Any thoughts on the plastic cam in the predator? Should I replace the cam before I even install it or do you think that it will be okay. I plan to build the motor but right now just trying to get the mini bike up and going.

Also, I am installing this in a Manco Big cat and it has a comet torque converter on it. Are there any issues with the installation of the torque converter on the HF?

thanks everybody.
