Torque converter question

#1
I just ordered a Tav from OldMiniBikes and it's comes with a 12 tooth whatchamacallit.:doah: So my question is what would happen and is it ok to switch it to a 18 tooth whatchamacallit?

That would be called a sprocket.....
Are you sure you ordered a TAV unit? and not a jackshaft?
I don't think they make an 18t TAV sprocket. They do make a 18t JS sprocket.
If it is a TC then more teeth on that sprocket would mean less torque more top end.

You'll be surprised at the top end it has. Initial starting ratio of 2.7:1 and final drive ratio of .9:1. When your going 45 mph on a single mechanical brake Minibike, that's moving pretty good
