I'd have to disagree, the sunshell in my '96 Impala SS went out at 78,000 miles without warning. Apparently a common problem in the 4L80E trannys.

Where is the gear reduction? They showed gear reduction even on their electric car.
How would you seal the big oval/rectangle hole where the shaft enters the housing?

The looks of those other single wheel contraptions scare the crap out of me.

Something just doesn't seem right about using my own body as a counterweight for the brakes and the acceleration.
Hit the brakes and you're on an out of control ferris wheel. No thank you.
This thing does look challenging, but survivable.
