Good morning OldMiniBikes.
Conditions have continued to go south. We now have steady wind at about 20 mph and gusts to around 30. Rain off and on as the outer bands of Isaac aproach the Gulf coast.
Live video feeds to follow.
I am off for two days and am sure to be bored out of my mind.
So,this may get real fun.
Stay tuned for further updates from your local weather authority,WBUCK!!

It is over for now.
Actually never really started. Worse storms on a normal storm.
Very thankful and am glad for the way it turned out for us.
I guess as the evening progresses it could get worse but, a lot of tadoo about nothing.
So end of WBUCK. Thanks for your support.

Where exactly are you? The NBC news map and weather person pretty much showed/said you would get your ass kicked tonight in southern Alabama!

Hope you don't!!

Well, so much for it being over.
Last night,as well as now, we got nailed. Power on,power off, power on ,off.
The wind has blown hard since about 10:30 last night. I mean hard.
And the goofy thing has been just setting there. It has hardly moved.
We continue to have fairly steady wind, then gusts of I will guess 30-40 mph.
So, another fun day today.
Awww man,the local news just showed my favcasino in Biloxi,Hard Rock, flooded.
Hunker down again.
And Paul,I am on the east side of Mobile Bay. About 3 miles inland with Fish River about 2 blocks away. Little town called Fairhope. We actually are by a small community of Barnwell. Out in the country.

Here is our local radar this morning. You see Mobile. Then Mobile Bsy. We are right on the east side almost on the southeren most point. Just noticed, there is a + right where I am.

Buck; we keep hearing that the big deal is the surge, a rise of 10' to 15' of the water level which causes flooding. You are certainly close to the bay, what did the water level do there?? High tide was a few hours ago i think!

We are far enough from the bay to not have any effect on us. They say it was and continues to be 6-8 ft surge. Right now not much going on. Periodic wind gust and heavy rain. Mostly just a pain.
I am BORED to death. One thing for sure, the Sprite is going to be smooth as glass when I put the finishing touches of paint and clear. I have gone through a full pack of 1500 grit paper on it.
Certainly can't do any painting or such in this rain and humidity.
I need parts!!

Back at work today. All or most of the drama is over. Tornado warnings and watches.
We had about 10 leaves down in the yard.
Had some 50 mph gusts. And tons of rain.
We were just far enough east, that it really wasn't as bad as expected.\Saved from this one.
We are really getting into the heart of the season. This next 2 months are really the time we have to be ready. We get the storms that originate from the African coast and travel all the wayacross the Atl and get into the Gulf.
So we had our dry run and came away unscaved for the most part.
Thanks to all who were concerned.

Glad to hear your OK and this didnt turn out to be a life altering event. In 04 we had Hurricane leftover rain and flooding with some Tornado's. I know how screrwed up things here were for a while, I cant imagine being in the path of a full hurricane and having to start over with every thing. Again I'm glad it turned out Ok for You.
