wheel bearing help

I'm changing wheel bearings, have some questions and having trouble finding replacements. Here are the dimensions and pics. The rear are thicker assuming because more weight on rear (could be wrong). Both are 1/2" ID, 1 3/8" OD and flanged. The deeper are 3/8" and the smaller is 5/16" deep. Questions are, do I have to get flanged bearings? I cant find the deeper bearings flanged local or on line, I have found the smaller size flanged at OldMiniBikes, Can I use the smaller less deep on REAR or should I try to find deeper bearing? and can I use non flanged? Reason for flang type? The larger look more sturdy.

No need to find the deeper bearings. Most likely the flange is what will hold the bearing from slipping further into the wheel. You can get the flanged bearings or the bearing with the keeper. I have used both from OldMiniBikes.
