Why I've Been MIA for a Week or so...

Not that I think anybody cares that much, but I just wanna make sure nobody thinks I'm a lazy ass since all my project logs are on stand stills. Anyhoo, this is what has kept me away...

I bought this old Johnson Iron Horse 2 cycle washing machine engine, along with some other stuff (2 old steel tractor seats) at a farm auction for $40. Here are pictures of the motor, and the last one is what I have done with one of the seats so far, and what I plan to do with the other one.

(It's behind the Keystone).

I put a push bar on my truck. After buying 2 that the seller said would fit my truck, both didn't fit, I took the grinder and made it fit. Actually turned out quite well and fit the bumper really nice.

Finished tuning up my old '53 6 horse Briggs. Gave it a thorough cleaning, and it is ready for a bike.

I also went to a car show and spent all of my "minibike parts" fund on decals at this one booth. :doah: Got some good one though. I am sure all the Chevy guys will like this one...it's the red dog on the top of my tool box.

Anyway that's what I've been doing. Now I have to try to finish the Keystone in time for the build off deadline. :doah: Might not get the paint done but what the hell, it was good fun anyway.

Mine's a '91 with the 302 5.0L. I really like your truck Neck, what year? '95? '96? I wish mine was a short box.
"88", came with the 5.0, but I hurt it pulling my 27ft. travel trailer. Stuck a 5.8 in it in 96 after the 5 started rattling, still going strong, but it marks it's territory now. What the hell, it's 24 years old, whats a couple a drops here and there?! Oh yeah, it's a 4x4 too.

That's good to hear. I am cleaning the carb as I speak and hope to have it running soon. But first I gotta finish the Keystone for the build off. :grind:
You should be working on the keystone then and not typing or trying to start an old 2 smoker. You gotta finish or you get your Hot Rod Magazine subscription pulled.

Here's a '94 F150 I have. Probably going to sell it soon:
I'll trade you my Durango for it. It needs a rear end, but they're less than $200 from a junk yard. It's been screaming for well over 5,000 miles now so I doubt it's going to let go anytime soon. It's just annoying having to listen to it while driving.

PM me if you're interested. The original battery is dead as hahahaha now so it will have a new one. It's just sitting in front of my house at this point and I have no need for it. It's got 116,000 on it and I bought it brand new.

edit: depending on the amount I might be willing to throw in some cash to sweeten the deal. My living conditions are iffy at the moment (hoping I don't have to threaten moving out) so that could change.

 I know. I really enjoyed this issue of Hot Rod though, the picture on the cover of that 5-window with mud tires in the back was great. I probably should put down my Hot Rod Deluxe too and get back to work on the Keystone. Got some done today, check out the build thread.
