Im not noway done yet still got hours of polishing to do an paint they are real good motors I wish I could find more they are hard to find rare....

Carplay do you have any polished out motors....

Check the valve lash.

That is an EY-18?

They tend to have not so good valves in them.
The stems mushroom with age and the lash gets pretty wide.

OK, dumb question, how in the world you polish a engine like that?:shrug:

just clean it as good as good as you can with brushes and such, then get as much as possible on a buffer and use something like this for the tight spots.or just use these with a drill if you don't have a buffer

Nice job yoop alot of hours in it buckeye it takes days to do but worth it in the end ...I did mine by hand ...ut:

Yoop I took off the spark plug boot an slid a stainless steel braided cover over it an put boot back on looks good with the polished aluminum.....
