wtb custome header for Briggs Animal

anybody have a pipe or can you make one that will work on an Animal? I hate to buy one blindly online from a kart store without knowing if it will fit in my frame. This is for a Murray TR2 frame. I can take pictures of the engine mocked up in the frame with a measuring tape when/if I can find someone willing. Thanks!

Does the OEM exhaust fit the Animal? If so you could fab up a custom one as I did for my Murray mock-up. I cut it off just where the pipe begins to curve to shorten it up. Then directed it out under the seat to the right and put a large Briggs hotdog muffler on it. Wrapped the pipe with exhaust wrap and safety wired it. Sounds great, but can get a little hot to the rear, lol.

So it is bigger? By how much?
Bill, i'm ashamed to say that I don't remember. I bought one of those $15 pipes on ebay ( i posted the link a while back) and that was the one that wouldn't fit. I think the intek bolt pattern was too big to fit the animal.

how well would 3/4 inch id fit the port ?
I'll measure when I get home and let you know. I was hoping you'd chime in here somehwere:rolleyes:

Just went out to the garage and measured an OEM muffler. The part which sets inside the head is 7/8" OD the opening in the head measures 15/16" ID and bolt spacing was 1 5/8" center to center. How does that compare to the Animal?
