I got this engine 5yrs ago and have never used it, it needs a carb or a kit, gas tank is gone, and it needs a patch on the blower housing where the chipper's tank bracket came loose. I had it running back then but it had carb issues so those who know Tec engines can fix it easily. Perfect for a...
I cut down the cam shaft because it stuck out of the side case. This is temporary as I will be changing out the side case soon. The new side case will not have the hole for the cam shaft to protrude through. So can I cut down the cam shaft to fit or do I need to buy a different one? Thanks...
Need some advise on purchasing a JS for my mini bike project.
So this is the width of the spot where the JS would mount. Just over 10"
Between the top one and the bottom one on this picture, which one is best?
Is the adjustable one adjustable width or are the sprockets adjustable?
Thank you
Tom and I took the kids out to play tonight ... Tom's grandson Elijah had driven Tom's 2-seater Manco Go Kart powered by Tom's motor of choice, the infamous 5hp Briggs the previous day for the 1st time.
My Granddaughter Rylee has spent many hours on mini bikes but never rode in a Kart before...
Earlier today I was about to race a doodlebug on my Fox Spoiler and off the line my rear chain slipped from my jackshaft. I noticed there is a bit of movement with the shaft inside the bearings so would that mean I just need a new shaft in general? When I move the shaft away from the back tire...
My HM80 has a lot of play in the vertical governor shaft and consequently, I cant get the engine to idle slow enough to use it. Can you tell me if there supposed to be a bushing between the shaft and the sump cover or is the casting just badly worn?
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks...

Hey I was cleaning up this old Clinton model 404 the other day getting it ready to finish it up. (It starts on starter fluid now. Just trying to find the best carb out of the pile to use on it.) But I never noticed the circled thing before. The way it's set into the engine makes it seems as...
Looking for an adapter to go on a 3/4" motor shaft to make it a 1". I know I've seen people talking about them on here , but I couldn't find it. Hoping one of you more knowledgeable wizards can point me in the right direction. Thx
So ive got a Tecumseh HS40-55565k 4hp horizontal shaft and I decided to build a go kart with it but I looked at the shaft and there is no hole in the end of it like i've seen on all other engine shafts. My question is, would there be anyway to drill and tap the shaft and if so what sizes? Or...
I've looked at some of the threads where our resident Bonanza gurus have shared some of their brochures etc on the various Bonanza models. That has been very helpful. Thank you.
I've seen a Bonanza with the following equipment, which doesn't seem to match up with any of those models...
I started a thread elsewhere but think it might be more appropriate here. I'm new to mini bikes and picked up project.
I have a generac 216cc. It came with a pulley on the output shaft. The output shaft is threaded. That pulley would turn a belt on a jack-shaft. The jack-shaft is 3/4" with a...

Ok guys, I need some guidance here. Now this is my first ever mini bike so be gentle lol. Replaced the original engine with a 79cc Predator, also bought a new centrifugal clutch to fit as it was a 5/8 instead of 3/4. Now the original clutch slid right off no problem, but I think the new one is...
