Just started my first mini bike project, and there is one thing I'm not so sure about and that is the rear axle, I think I have all the pieces but not sure being this is my first time. The rear axle mount is slotted like a bicycle would be. I've ordered new axle, nuts, jam nuts, lock washers...

Dont have any pics but im pretty sure its the original axle. Looks like a large bolt. Need to see if anyone knows what the thread is so i can clean them up. Mine has a couple of bad spots so the nut will not thread on. It is a fine thread. Any help would be great. Thanks

I made a adult trike with Honda engine. Fun to ride, turns alot of heads but doesn't turn for nothing. Any idea on how to weight the front end down to make turns easier? If I lean on front end it will turn going slow. At cruising speed it turn much easier. Never did a hi speed hair pin turn...

So if you need to file them a bit to fit, cool. But what do you do for a key that's loose even after you tighten down the hub? Put a small shim in there? Tie wire on each side of the hub on the axle? Glue? Other ideas?
