I'm new to this hobby but certainly not to wrenching. I've been searching CL for something vintage or a for about a month now. I think I'm just going to build a kit. Bad Dog, Azusa, etc. I picked up a 212cc predator (clone) yesterday while they where on sale $99.00. I figured you guys would know...
Went to the local BIG flea market today and found these two beauties:
An old Lawnboy Hobby Gardner - It's a tiller and an edger. Took me a little bit to get it running but it runs good now.
And a Ohlsson & Rice Tiny Tiger 3/4hp generator, it is missing the air filter assembly, but other wise...
Picked up this pair of 3.5hp GX110 Hondas at the flea market this morning. One runs like a top and has a new clutch, but the other is missing a piece of linkage and needs a seal for the gas cap. Both have very low hours.
Paid $50 for the pair, cuz he didn't know if they ran and he forgot to...
Even with a crappy economy the little Haley market is still fairly strong. The price of this bike would have probably been quite a bit higher if the restoration was correct. Harley-Davidson : x90 aermacchi | eBay
I was at my local flea market this morning and found this nice Bonanza. The guy had no idea what he had. It runs like a top and the front light works. First one that I've found with the original gas tank.
It has a huge disc like clutch on it. I'll get some pics of that later.
The local flea market opened today, and I found this vintage Craftsman tool chest there. The guy didn't even have it unloaded from his trailer and I was all over it. I got it for $50. He said it was from his old automotive garage he had years ago. Said he thinks he bought it new in the early...
I have a 5 hp Briggs that was originally a go-kart motor. My son and I have built a new mini bike frame for it. I'd like to change out the exhaust, and get a cool looking air filter for it (the orig. wasn't there when we purchased it). Anyone know who makes them and what the correct part numbers...
From the 4 cycle forums if people don't check those.
If anyone has money burning a hole in their pocket :) Some company called Raceseng Designs came out with some new roller rockers for the GX200. They look like a pretty good design, similar to automotive roller rockers. Have a look...
