Among all of my other vehicular project chaos I acquired a 1970 Speedway Scarab frame only. That said doing research on the bike led me here. So now I have a few questions before I start snagging parts that won't work. What forks are compatible with these frames? What's available aftermarket for...

I picked this bike up from a friend. I have two actually. however this has a hand lever to operate the brake in the rear. the other one I have has a foot brake. but it has a bracket near the rear tire that looks to be used to hold the brake cable for a hand lever brake. I have posted pics of the...

    Parting out a Speedway Scorpion

I started another thread about possibly parting out a Speedway Scorpion to see if there was interest. There is so I'll list the parts with prices and post the pictures. The pictures should expand when you pick it so you can zoom in for a closer look. To my knowledge this is a 1970 or 1971...

Speedway torque converter operation - parts needed

Does anyone have good pictures or drawings of the way the Speedway mini bikes torque converter was set up? I'm going to use a Comet 20 series, and I've heard I needs the 6" driven, so I'm assuming the whole thing is the 20 series for the engine shaft, a jackshaft (3/4 I'm assuming), two...

    Speedway torque converter cover question

Is there a piece that goes on the Tecumseh HS40 engine that allows you you connect the torque converter guard to the engine end? If so, can anyone describe it? I see how it attaches on the lower end to the engine mounting plate but not sure of how it hooks to the engine. Thanks
