'59 B&S Oil leak from fill cap

Appears i have oil leaking slowly through the oil cap. Any clue on why?
bad cap?

She Starts on one pull and purrs like a kitten.

It's an old fart, but just enough power to have fun.

yea try making it tighter or get a new cap.

did you check your crankcase bolts,they might be loose. Also check the breather to be sure it is working and not clogged. it should be easy to find another oil cap,it might be cracked or something.

also check does that fill have a o ring ? some do some dont . if you do need a new plug its easy any briggas one that looks like it will fit and even the tec one too :thumbsup:

Could be from blow-by due to worn rings. If the new cap / o-ring didn't fix it then I'd check for low compression.
