5HP Flathead tight fit

#1
Getting a flathead to fit inside some frames is a challenge. Here are some things to help:
Made a filter out of a 1.5 PVC end cap and removed 3/4 in height.
Move engine forward.
Slide rear tire back
Cut or remove rear fender
1/2 in rubber grommets or engine plate helps rear tank over rear fender or tire.
Still Having a hard time with getting flathead into bird frame. Will a mounting plate more ability to move engine forward even more, just touching rear tire?
Any suggestions on 3/4 gallon gas tanks with fixed pulsajet carbs? Cheap? Smaller tank?

A remote tank with a flojet carb would work. I'm using one when I repower the Murray even if the stock tank fits. Gives you tons of room but cheap it is not.

That would be ideal . Not going to spend a penny more on this project lol. Would like to rework the gas tank. May swap the 3.5 flathead our on this one. It's about an inch shorter and and inch smaller in width.
