what the heck is this thing? got 2 of them from a friend of mine and he has no idea either.
I thought maybe one of you mite have seen one before.:confused:

one with the round end off. and one shot down the cone end.

nothing in side but what you see.there is a small grommet on the side like for an electric wire or something.

Well it really does look like a bomb,every piece has a inspection stamp on it. There are no marks anywhere like it was installed or bolted to anything.

Maybe they were not completed yet,no fins on the tail of them??:shrug:


I'm stacking parts for a rat rod build so in the pile they go....

Hit the pointy end really hard with a big hammer - if we get your next post its not a bomb:laugh:

Aluminium is generaly used for aviation - it has flat rivits and is smooth for air flow.
I do not think it is for fuel as the ends would be sealed - possibly telemetry equipment.
Its really cool though:thumbsup: use it on a mini:hammer:

Well, it's pylon mounted. Airborne chaff dispenser tube maybe. Could be a Magnetic Anomaly Detector housing, though those I'm familiar with are integral to the airframe.

Three compartments make it an unlikely housing for a threat radar pod. Definitely not fuel, nor minutions or flares.
