better racing clutches????

I was working on my truck today and I got to thinking what clutch setup would be better for racing the TAV or a good centrifugal clutch. I talked about it with some friends and they seem to have some major disagreements. I'm neutral on the topic but one side says the centrifugal clutch because there is less resistance due to fewer parts and no jackshaft. The other side says the TAV because even though you have the extra resistance you have a better low end ratio for take off and a 0.9:1 high end ratio: so they think you could get up to speed faster and go faster. I figured I would ask you guys to see what you think?

Disk clutches own the strip for now.

Nobody has made a TAV that works reliably enough or fast enough for drag. They are better, as Cheez said, offroad. Until someone finds the magic combo.

The Tav's are certainly the king of the Jr. Dragsters. They are just better TAV's. I have a semi drag mini with a salsbury 330 and it works very well in that application.
