Briggs Muffler and Header from OldMiniBikes

When I call OldMiniBikes Warehouse and ask questions about anything...specifically this time mufflers and headers for my Briggs and Stratton, they tell me to ask you guys. So.....can you guys tell me which mufflers and headers would work for my engine? And do I need any gaskets, flanges or clamps? If so, do you know which one's. Thanks!:thumbsup:

All of the early Briggs 5hp uprights I've seen come with 3/4" female threads for the exhaust. I would suggest #6.

I would suggest number one. Take measurements but it usually fits well on older frames.

I'd go with #1 as well. Your set up is very similar to my Azusa with the 5 horse Briggs. Should bolt right up easily.

I would say it can't hurt.

Are you talking about the flathead minibike pipe muffler? They sometimes switch spots between visiting my own thread. What were you saying would be a good idea? What might I need to attach the thing? Thanks.

Yes the Brute setup. You should need two 1/4x20 allen bolts drilled.for safety wire.

Or just an 18" long piece of 3/4 pipe from the hardware store.
