I broke my foot at work on the 22nd. Stumbled off a skid of scrap boxes and fell to the floor. Going to see a specialist on the 30th. The Doc's where my wife works think the foot will need to be pinned.
I'm wearing this damn uncomfortable walking cast, I call "DAS BOOT", and hobbling around. I even had to ride one of those granny carts at Wal-mart the other day, just to finish my last minute X-mas shopping. Holy $#@*!!!!!.

The worst part is I had to stop working on snowblowers for awhile and I'm losing ALOT of money.

Haven't riden the mini's since ..... this really sucks.

Damn that sucks. BUT, you should know better than climbing on a skid of scrap boxes. I also broke my first bone a couple of weeks ago, ( at least the first one I saw a doctor for) due to my own dumba**. Got my left :thefinger: in the fan on a running tractor. Chopped my nail in 3 or 4 pieces and shattered the bone at the tip in about 50 pieces. BUT, I can still ride and work on minis, and no granny cart a Wally World. Good luck at heal fast.

Sorry to hear that Jeep, Know what it's like to be incapassitated, awhile back I found out what it was like to have both arms layed up at the same time!!! Worst part about it was it was at the hands of someone else! Good therapy and patience will insure that you heal quickly, stay off the foot for awhile and be careful, and come spring you'll probably be looking back at a bad memory.

Stumbled off a skid of scrap boxes? :stupid:
Damn I would have thought when I first read this thread that you broke your foot from falling off a mini bike or a snow mobile while flying at 80 miles per hour down the street or through the snow...
I guess your new winter project will be a highly modified GRANNY CART
:mad2:

GET WELL SOON Keep that foot elevated jeep4me

You should have lied and called it a mini accident :)
Ah yeah, I thought about that afterwards.

And it wasn't like I was climbing ten feet off the ground either. It was more like a foot or two. I backed up a little, the boxes I was standing on teeterd when I got close to the edge and when I stepped back to catch myself, my foot caught half-way on the edge of the box and half air. Then down I went.

My boss told me that if I was doing what I normally do when we're slow, f*&%!$ off instead of actually working, this wouldn't have happened.

I was in a Motorcycle accident in May as a guy turned left in front of me giving me 6 foot to stop in ,, I broke my leg in two places , 6 serguries later I am still sitting here in the house ,, ,, Recovery time is slow time  I remember when times would get slow at work and we would be doing stuff we were not suppose to be ,,, One time this guy took this Roman candle and ..well he is lucky he still has his hands left ,, Life goes on

Bummer Jeep, such is life, just follow the program and you will be back in the game soon, I understand the frustration associated with the loss of everyday mobility not to mention the lost $$. When I looped my E-Rex a couple of months back, it instantly took the both palms of thick meat from my hands, they didn't even bleed, just plasma goo for weeks. You will recover and appreciate the value of good hightop safety boots, just as I have found th value in good riding gloves. Take care.

Jeep : Well I guess you won't be going to the New Years Eve Party and dancing the night away.
Sorry about your accident it can happen so fast. I broke a bone in my foot once by jumping off a loading dock just hit it wrong. I did not even go to the Doctor but I know it was broke. Follow the Doctors orders and stay off and it will be a faster heal.
