Ever see a Cat like this??

Dimensionally the same as a 250x with the same forks, but it has a disc brake? Paint looks to be original as well. I'm stumped...

there was another one posted some time back that had a similar set up. I think a member here owns it.

I've never seen one with a disc. My Dad is going to sell it and I hate selling things when we do not know what they are.
The serial number is 7017943

The cat buckeye just bought I think has a disk brakeut: Look at his photo.

The one posted before is mine.It is a 69,with weld on pegs,the disc brake,and had a 2-1/2 Tecumseh on it.I just repainted it and kept the tag off the clutch cover.It says 250X.I guess it wasn't supposed to have the Tecumseh and the disc brake in those years,but I bought it new that way.Mine was orange originally too.I repainted it the same color,but the pictures don't show it right.

Yeah, mine has a disc brake. But, 400x.

Another couple,after paint,but before engine.My original engine got trashed in the early 70's,but I did have a milk crate full of parts from it I used on the replacement one.Air filter housing,carb,ignition,clutch.I also had the seat recovered using the original plywood and seat foam.

I would have to agree with Keith, looks like an early 250x, just like this one.
