Flywheel question

#1
Was at a garage sale where I bought a Shopsmith mark 5 and a huge drill press. I asked if they had any old gas motors. Yes, they had one on an old tiller at father's house but did'nt know anything about it. The nice lady took me to the barn. It was a nice 5hp briggs 130292. Appeared to be in good shape. I asked how much, and she said just take it away! Taking it apart to get to the points, I noticed one of the vanes on the flywheel has been gone for a long time. There is no play whatsoever in the crank. My question is: have you ever heard of someone adding a little weight to replace it?
I heard one guy say just break another vane across from the missing one ??? :hammer::shrug: Any comments?? thanks

I'd suggest a new flywheel....I'd never break off another fin to try and balance it....if it was just the tip of the fin the flywheel could be milled to even out the fins so they were all the same heigth again...... I have a stock
5hp flywheel if you need one..
