mini bike drags

Hi, their having 1/8 mile mini bike drags at a car show Im in. I cant figure out the gear ratio thing. Im running a stock 5hp briggs ,no gov., 5''slick,and 12tooth engine,60 tooth rear. Its still in pieces, but will it top out before the end of the 1/8, and how fast should it be running with this set up? Thanks, Richard.

Sounds like I might get out run. Its a Bird duck frame with the sloping rear frame rails ,dont think anything bigger then a 5hp will fit.should I try to go to a smaller rear sprocket, or a 9tooth engine sprocket, or both?

Yeah, a clone would hang out the side a bit. just remember there's a fine line between getting off the line and top end. :wink:
